Jeremy took the day before Thanksgiving off from school since the girls had it off. We spent much of the day at the Mall of America riding rides and having lunch. On our way out we noticed that there was a very short line to see Santa. On the spur of the moment, we thought we'd give it a shot. After a little coaxing, he convinced Lucy to come and sit on his lap. I think this might be the first picture I have of her sitting with Santa in all her five years of life! (Willingly, that is!) She didn't really want to visit with him, but he must have asked the right questions because then she told him she'd really like a purple unicorn Pillow Pet. Emma had no trouble visiting with him and Sophie would have nothing to do with him. I was hoping for a picture with all three, but that wasn't meant to be. She did give him a nice big wave on the way out though. They each got a huge package of these giant gumballs. Not really sure what Sophie would ever do with something like that. A candy cane might have been a better choice, but she was very happy to hold them anyway!
