Sesame Street Live

Quick picture by Elmo

So very excited!

Sitting in her seat...being held down by dad.

Enjoying a yummy treat at intermission!

Sophie had a date with mom and dad yesterday to Sesame Street Live. The moment she woke up that morning she was asking to see Elmo and Abby Cadabby. She brought her Abby "Dacabby" (as she likes to say) along with her. She also wore her favorite Elmo shirt. It was at the Target Center and as soon as we got through the security there was a kiosk selling merchandise. She was enamored by this. So many Elmo's and other characters. We were a little early so we walked around a little before going to sit down. She peeked through the doorway at the stage and was so excited. "There's Sesame Street mom!" she said. We had to hold her seat down during the performance because she didn't weigh enough to make it stay down. Big Bird made a few announcements over the loudspeaker before the show started and her eyes would get really big when this happened. Then when the performance started and all the characters came on stage, she would point at the stage and shout "There's _________!" It was so cute. She was absolutely thrilled! At one point she got so excited that she fell out of her seat! Jeremy bought her a snow cone at intermission. We thought about cotton candy, but didn't know if she would eat it because she doesn't really like to be sticky! Her lip came out when the show was over and I thought there would be a few tears. She said, "I don't want it to be over mom." Our tickets were so cheap, but her excitement over the whole thing was completely priceless!
