Our last visit to Iowa was perfect timing for harvesting popcorn. We drove out to the field where Grandpa Rex was harvesting popcorn. Emma was the only one brave enough to ride in the wagon with Grandpa rog as the cobs of corn were being thrown into it. Emma was even lucky enough to find a stray ear of Indian Corn that she was happy to take to school on Monday. After watching the popcorn come out of the field, we went to see how the machine takes the kernels of corn off the cob. It really was a learning experience for all of us. Emma was excited to share all of it with her second grade class on Monday.
