Ok, my pictures didn't turn out very well for this one, but the bears truly were amazing. Lucy, Grandma Sharon and I took Sophie to see the new Grizzly Bear exhibit at the zoo. (Well, new this summer anyway!) I believe there were four bears that we could see right up close. Two of them were swimming right up behind the glass when we got there and one (pictured above) was taking a nap. Sophie, however, was quite concerned about them. She would not let Grandma put her down and she started to panic when she got close to the glass. She just couldn't grasp that the animals were behind the glass. She would start flailing her arms and whimpering when we got too close. She did the exact same thing when we went to see the fish and other animals on other trails. Of course, this is the child who has a melt down if she's on the floor and a cat or dog comes within a few feet of her. There will be no pets at this house!
