I don't know how it's possible, but Emma has entered the third grade. She must have been having the "night before school" jitters because she was awake until about 10:15 the night before! She was very excited to go in the morning. We took the traditional picture on the front step. Lucy, Sophie and I waited with her at the bus stop. She came home chattering all about her day and the "rules." She said they mostly talked about safety all day. And of course we had our "first day of school" root beer floats for dessert that night. Lucy informed us that we would be having them again on Thursday as it will be her first day of Kindergarten.
