I decided at the last minute to take the girls up for one night to see Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Randy's cabin on Sunset Lake near Aitkin, MN. I knew that it would need to be a short trip as there was no furniture, toys, etc. It's set quite far off the road with an elevated driveway that Emma and Lucy had a great time speeding down on their scooters. I just had to look the other way. Luckily there were no injuries! The girls and I slept on the floor in one bedroom. Sophie panicked a little when she woke up in the morning and it was pitch black. "Turn the light on Mommy!" I couldn't get over how quiet and dark it was either. We are looking forward to spending many weekends there in the future!
